Hey, grown-ups, it's your school too!
It’s never too late to learn new skills so whether you want to learn for leisure of for a qualification we can help (see table below for times and costs). Courses are open to all adults across the local community.
Our IT courses, run in partnership with Weston College, have been a huge success with 100% pass rate at all levels. Courses are determined by your needs so please contact us to let us know whether you are a complete beginner or more advanced and we will find the right course for you.
UPDATE: May 2010
All of our parents attending the IT course have passed with flying colours this term and were presented with their certificates at the final celebration assembly in the old school. New courses will start next term in the new community ICT suite.
Or join our parents group ‘Allsorts’ who arrange workshops each term
(Mondays at Bournville Primary School 9.30am- 11.30am).
So far the workshops have included:
• Massage
• How to make sugar flowers
• Jewellery making.
English as a second language
We are able to offer support for families where English is their second language. We have recently run adult English classes with a focus on practical solutions to understanding the English school system, who to approach in school, where to find information etc.
