Wow, I never knew that!

Year 7 Parents went back in the classroom recently, taking part in Family Learning at Wyvern Community School. Throughout March, there were many exciting activities, including year 7 lessons in Art, Drama, Science and Maths to name but a few. Parents were able to experience the classroom again and gain a better understanding of how students are learning today.
Comments from parents, students and teachers were all very positive and everyone agreed that it has been a fun, learning experience!

Forest School
05/05/11 16:08
Mr. B, Judy and Kelly have been running regular Forest School sessions across North Somerset and these continue to be a successful and enjoyable experience for all involved!
Through Forest School sessions, we aim to give children and parents/carers a shared understanding of the ethos of an outdoor learning experience. This powerful approach enables young children to be independent, self-motivated, courageous, considerate and sets them up for lifelong learning. It particularly supports the development of self-esteem and self-confidence, while enhancing and strengthening their relationship with each other.
If you are interested in finding out more about Forest School, please telephone Lynn Winter on 01934 427134 or email us through the Contact Us page.
